Dudh Sgeir-Mhor or Black Rock with the Tip of Island Roan - Meall Thailm in the background. Dudh Sgeir-Mhor is the resting place of the SS Ashbury. On the 8th of January 1945, the British tramp steamer SS Ashbury foundered on Dudh Sgeir-Mhor and sank with the loss of the crew of 42 men. Sadly there is no memorial to the Men who died.
