Iain

I am a native of Melness, having been born in Upper Talmine. I am responsible for the research of Melness project, and the design and development of the Melness website. I have been involved in Electronics since I was a youngster and I am an active Radio Amateur, holding the Call Sign GM4MIM. I have been involved in developing and running Bulletins Boards before the onset of the World Wide Web and then ran a number of sites on a professional basis. This is an important site for me as its development has taught me new skills and techniques as well as allowing me to indulge my self, now that I am retired, in the research process. I hope you enjoy the new website.

Chris

Chris graduated last year in Web and Media design and has always been interested in what I was doing while building web sites. He now works for RSTO in Leith. Chris is responsible for the Flash component and debugging my code and Style Sheets and making helpful suggestions. Thanks Chris!

Arnie

Meet Arnie, our King Charles Spaniel. His full title is Arnie Ó Slago Bay. Arnie is a year and nine months old and is an irresponsible teenager in dog years. He keeps me company when I am working on the Computer and helps me take regular breaks as he nuzzles me for attention, or jumps up on my lap when he is fed up!

Parkie

Last but not least, Parkie, our Team Mascot. He was born in Orkney at the Highland Park Distillery - a wonderful place - The real source of the Holy Grail!! He usually sits on top of the monitor - as he likes to keep warm - and keeps an eye on Arnie and I.
